My Review:
I’m a big fan of this fantastic series which in my opinion keeps getting better and better. This book was no exception with the story once again being a chilling, gripping read.
Hunter has to be one of my favourite literary detectives as he’s incredibly likeable and seems very real which made me like him even more. I thought it was impressive how, in such a case, he is able to remain professional and upbeat where it might drag some down.
There are lots of different threads in this story which start off seeming completely unrelated but it soon becomes obvious that they are actually connected. I thought the way the author pulls them together was very clever and it kept me guessing as to what was going on.
Despite the chilling story line the author doesn’t let this set the tone for the whole story and there is actually some humour in the story which provides a welcome break from the serious stuff. I felt very involved in the story with the vivid descriptions allowing me to fully imagine everything that goes on. The ending was very clever and a great way to end the book.
Huge thanks to Rachel from Rachel’s Random Resources for inviting me onto the blog tour and for my copy of this book. If you are a fan of crime fiction I thoroughly recommend this series.
