In Poppy Page’s mind, there are two types of women in this world: those who are faithful to their husbands, and those who are not. Until now, Poppy has never questioned which she was.

But when handsome, charming Matthew Gordon walks back into her life after almost two decades, that changes. Poppy makes a single mistake – and that mistake will be far more dangerous than she could imagine.

Someone is going to pay for it with their life . . .

My Review:

I’m a huge fan of this author so I was extremely excited to read a new book from her. Once again the she has managed to write an enthralling, addictive read which I found hard to put down.

I thought this book was a fantastic family drama which centers on two woman and a similar mistake they both made. In alternate chapters we find out more about the two women as we go back through their lives. It was interesting to see that despite being years apart the two women have some similar experiences especially regarding the opportunities that are available to them. It’s a story full of drama and regrets with the two women not being like they first appear.

The story unfolds really well with the author skillfully managing multiple story lines at once. As we learn more about the characters we find out that all of them had a motive for murder which meant I was kept guessing until the end of the book. I now can’t wait to read more from this author in the future!

Huge thanks to Ellie from Viking for inviting me onto the blog tour and for my copy of this book via Netgalley.
